MISS SA TO LEAD SLOW FESTIVAL PARADE

Last night Slow Festival Programme Director Amanda Dixon was delighted to hear from the Miss South Africa offices that Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters will be returning to Sedgefield for the Slow Festival weekend, and leading the Parade on Easter Sunday.

At the suggestion of Demi's mother, Anne-Mari Steenkamp, Amanda had contacted the Miss SA Offices in Sun City asking what the chances would be of Demi being in the village over the Easter weekend. But understanding the newly crowned Miss South Africa's hectic schedule, she didn't for one moment think it would be possible.

Then last night an email came through from Lerato Kekana of the Miss SA offices saying that Demi would indeed be coming back to her home town on the weekend of 14 April, and would thus be able to take part in the festivities.

Said Amanda "It's been an incredibly positive week with all sorts of amazing news, additions & happenings for the Festival, so receiving the confirmation from Demi's PA and the Miss SA Offices was just too exciting for words! Now that the news is out and it's all official, we can all start preparing to make it the best Miss South Africa homecoming and welcome ever... Please join us on Sunday 16th April at 13h00 for the Slow Festival Easter Street Parade."
